The charts above indicate the usage stats for this web site. As some of you may be aware I launched a completely new web site on January 1st of this year. I began with just a few pages and have been growing the site from that point.

The old site has not been completely mothballed yet. I am gradually picking through it and transferring the better bits and pieces to this new one.

I had wanted to create an entirely new site in 2009 however life got in the way. Not surprisingly the stats for my web site are not only a barometer for my new web site but also for my own well being.

Up to and during 2009 I was bullied into a state of near self-annihilation by three individuals and after a break of 9 weeks at the end of 2009 and a period of consolidation during 2010 I am now at a point of strength and quiet resolve.

I am well on top of what is happening in my environment. Prevention is better than cure. I am as mindful as always. I am also significantly well armed to deal with future bullying incidents. You know what it is like. The average organisation has no idea how to cope with it and in some environments I understand the victims have to shake hands with the perpetrators. I do not feel that is the right thing to do.

2010 was a good year. I had good classes. 2011 is a good year as well. Great students. Excellent chemistry.

I had one particular group of individual some years back with a toxic coterie of individuals. I have worked in a variety of organisations here and overseas during the last 30 years and I have never encountered such a vitriolic combination of beings. They are becoming distant memories now. Who would want to remember them anyway? I don’t.

2010 was also a good year because I had been able to visit Singapore, China, Taiwan and Malaya visiting friends, giving workshops and providing courses for educators on topics such as social media, the iPad and photography. I also gave ten presentations last year. I am very proud of that achievement.

One of the reasons I survived 2009 was the fact I could give workshops and presentations. They were like a form of cognitive behaviour therapy and also reassured me that I was actually quite okay and that the perpetrators of the bullying were the ones that really needed help. They were/are the ones with the problem.

Well, it is 2011 and things are not perfect by any means yet I am mindful of my surroundings and myself and that is good. Things are okay with me.

I am glad I have created the web site I wanted to build in 2009. I have automated processes for page creation, better key word and meta description inputs, good image management and a leaner, meaner site in terms of download speed. I think it looks good too. The page views and unique visitors for this site have increased by threefold on average since January 1 this year. That is good to see. I feel proud.

The site stats are a barometer for my site and a barometer for me. Thank you all for being a part of this process.

I feel good.
