One
of the first things I did after finishing work with Knowledge
Village in February 2001 was to take Shao Ping and myself
for an extra long weekend in Bintan, Indonesia. It is an
island that is part of the Riau Archipelago. It is only 40
kilometres away from Singapore. We stayed at the Nirwana
Gardens resort.
I actually went to the mangrove forests there and took some photographs for the
Knowledge Village crew to use in a multiemdia project. A number of those photographs
are shown in the galleries. Shao Ping and I went to Bintan on two more occasions.
