About me

“John Larkin is an educator and instructional designer presently living in Australia. He is a personable and effective teacher with the capability to rapidly adapt to the needs of his audience. He has a rich experience in the development and application of educational technologies in primary, secondary, tertiary and corporate educational fields

He has worked on a significant number of web-based and CD-ROM projects. John has led the design on corporate, tertiary and school based web-learning projects. His skill set is enriched with a keen eye for design and a practical approach towards instructional technologies

John conducts regular professional development workshops for academics and teachers, in Australia and Singapore, in the areas of information technology, eLearning course design and curriculum integration. He is presently teaching at St Joseph’s Catholic High School in Albion Park, New South Wales, Australia.

In recent years John has also taught, on a casual part time basis and remotely, at the National Institute of Education within the Specialist eLearning Instructional Design Programme. John was also the Senior Assistant Director at the Centre for Educational Development at Nanyang Technological University prior to his return to Australia.”

John lives on the south coast of New South Wales with his lovely wife Shao Ping, a teacher of Mandarin, artist and
blogger.
