Kampong Glam and Arab Street

During my trip to Singapore in April 2008 my friend Alan Soong from the Centre for Educational Development at NTU took myself and Westley Field to lunch in the Kampong Glam area of Singapore. We wandered about the streets and as usual I took photographs. I had explored the area with Shao Ping and my friend Steven Marshall back in 2003. It was amazing how some areas had changed. We had a great meal, which was rather spicy, in a restaurant that was, thankfully airconditioned.

We had a most enjoyable day. At one stage we went to another venue for dessert and in addition to to a red bean delicacy I also consumed an exotic dish that consisted of lizard saliva and other tasty titbits.
