Singapore April 14th 2005

Today I conducted the second of two digital photography workshops. I had a busy time as two of the participants had cameras that refused to mount on Windows XP. Tried all of the usual tricks... re-installing drivers, trying other leads, etc. The cameras were too proprietary if you know what I mean. Never buy a Canon or Creative Labs camera. Getting these two brands to make their presence felt on a pc or mac without their drivers is nigh on impossible. Most of the other brands will still mount on either Windows XP or the Macintosh OS without specific drivers.

The highlight of the day was catching up with Anita, Adrian and Mazlan from National Institue of Education! I used to work with Anita and Adrian at ICUS Pte Ltd and Mazlan was one of my students in the postgraduate programme at the NIE. Alan, my wonderful colleague from the CED at NTU joined us for lunch and he kindly took the photograph! It was great seeing all the team. ^_^

I wandered around the campus taking photographs with the participants. Some of my arty-farty efforts are published below.
