In May 2000 Shao Ping and I celebrated our wedding
banquet in Taipei. We had only recently arrived in Singapore
and we took two days off work, the Friday and the Monday, and
flew up to Taipei. These photographs show our journey and
on the Saturday, 27th May 2000, we went to the Yeh family ancestral
shrine in northern Taiwan and visited
her grandfather who
lives in Guan
Yin in
Tao Yuan. At the time I had created an online newspaper which
I called the Pasir
Ris Mercury, a precursor to a blog I guess,
and the story
of the trip is
documented
rather quaintly at that site. |
