Approaching Changi, Singapore

Last October Kenneth and I went for a bike ride around Pulau Ubin. It is an island located off the north-east coast of Singapore. It is one of Singapore’s remaining untouched areas however development is planned for the future.

We met at Changi Village about 6.30AM and took a bum boat across to the island. It is wise to get an early start before the heat and/or the humidity becomes too oppressive.

I hired a mountain bike on the island and we took a ride out to the north of the island. It was not crowded and I was surprised that I managed the ride reasonably well. I think it is time I bought a new bike. We then rode out to the west of the island and grabbed a coconut drink as well. I have added a selection of images below.
